Happy Fashion Week!!!

I'm seriously SO excited for fashion week! It will be my second one as a blogger, and I'm just as excited as I was for the shows in February. I know fashion week doesn't officially start until tomorrow, but today IS the IFB conference, and you can tune into that HERE. I went to the conference last year and loved it all. Today I'll be watching the IFB conference and doing the tedious job of finalizing my outfits (which isn't that hard, mainly because I don't have that many options to begin with. haha). Please stay tuned over the next couple days as a keep you updated about all my adventures! I'm taking part in several exciting things this week that I just can't wait to tell you about! If you can't be in NY for fashion week, don't sweat it. Here are some of my favorite links that will keep you in the loop for not just NYFW, but the entire fashion month!

A list of shows that will be live-streamed online.

Sweet Caroline, Part 2

Loving these A-Line skirt looks on Caroline Trentini, especially the Valentino dress in the first photo. I have wanted that dress ever since I first saw it on the runway!

For part one, see here.

Latest Obsession: Ainsley by QI Cashmere

Ainsley by Qi Cashmere is one of my favorite lines of the moment!
The line is brandy-new, and it set to launch later this year in September. I really love how modern and wearable the pieces are. To me, the shoes, jackets and knits are some of the collections best features. They're adorable and I would wear any piece in an instant! I also really love how sophisticated the line is, and how it would be very easy to take pieces and work them into your already-existing wardrobe. My favorite thing about the collection? The pants. I'm a sucker for a pair of well made pants (especially grey ones!), and these are right up my alley. Ainsley will be launching during the next NYFW, and the line was  recently featured in WWD! I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty much obsessed. Must. Wear. NOW.

This look is my favorite! I'm obsessed with the details on that sweater.

You can check out Ainley's facebook page here and show them some love on twitter here.

This morning when I hopped on the computer to check my emails and such I found
this
My dad left it for me to watch. I have never been into sports. I played lacrosse as the only girl on the team when I was 9 ( I sucked). Later I did gymnastics for 4 years, only made it to level 3, and it resulted in a broken elbow and 2 surgeries ( yeah, that wasn't my calling either). Swimming and Ballet weren't my thing, so I always stuck with Fashion. I was never a tomboy. My dad, however, was the opposite. He always had dreams of being a pro baseball player as a little boy. The night of the 'miracle on ice' he wanted to watch, but his parents sent him to bed. He did watch the USA play Finland the next day. When I was younger, Miracle was my fav movie. I could name the players by memory, and my favs were  O'Callahan, McClanahan, Eruzione,, Johnson and Craig  ( and I totally had a huge crush on the actor that played McClanahan). Every time I would watch the movie, my dad would always cry at the winning moment. I didn't realize it, but yesterday was the 30tth anniversary.
I had never watched the full actual game. When my dad always cried, I never understood why. I always just though "wow. some people take hockey way to seriously". Well, this morning I watched the game, and I cried this time. It's not about the hockey. The win was a triumph for all of america. It was joyful.
If you haven't seen Miracle yet, I recommend you watch it ASAP. A great movie.
I think I'll put down Vogue for a few days and watch a game that changed the world.
