Alexander Terekhov Fall 2012

via

I'm obsessed with this gorgeous lookbook from Russian designer Alexander Terekhov. He's definitely one to watch.  His clothes are impeccable- I love a designer who isn't afraid of prints! The floral prints are my favorite- they're so vibrant! It looks like the clothes have beautiful movement, too. I would love to see them in-person. Also, you should definitely look through his collection archives; all his collections are gorgeous. Happy Monday!

Latest Obsession: Mathieu Mirano Fall 2012

Back in February I was invited to designer Mathieu Mirano's presentation of his fall 2012 collection, but due to scheduling conflicts I was unable to attend. I deeply regret missing it! This collection was such a strong debut, and I can only imagine the amazing things he will present once he becomes a more seasoned designer. His fabric choices are visually stunning, and I love seeing which fabrics he chose to pair together (I love the fur and sheer pieces!). I'm so excited to see what he has in store for us in the future! I'm counting on great things from this man.

No commentary about this post today. I'll just let you enjoy the awesomeness.

*update*  I can't help myself. The shapes in this collection are amazing. My mind is melting. Forget art you can wear, this is architecture you can wear. Her work reminds me of a more minimal Mary Katrantzou.

A little part of me just died. The hem length, fabric, print, volume, etc. It's all so perfect. So in love. Ulyana's work is amazing!

CrOp by David Peck Fall 2012

I briefly met David Peck during New York Fashion Week while we were waiting for the WHIT show to start. (Review on the way, I promise!) A few days later, the amazing look book for CrOp by David Peck fall 2012 landed in my email inbox, and I was smitten! The colors are so rich and the cuts and fabric combinations are wonderful. I really enjoyed the original prints! My favorite pieces by far were the gorgeous, whimsical evening gowns. I remember seeing the collection for the first time and I just kept saying "oh my goodness... amazing..."  I love his silhouettes and use color blocking. Take a look for yourself!

The original prints featured in the collection were inspired by autumn leaves, geography, harbors and lace. CrOp isn't only gorgeous, but it's a line committed to giving back. A portion of sales from each collection are donated to the inspiration associated with that season. They also manufacture in the US! I always have so much respect for brands where all operations are based in the US because it creates jobs and keeps things local. CrOp is still quite new (the line's first collection was spring 2011) but I'm already excited to see what they come up with each season. Also, be sure to follow their blog!
