Spring Time!!!... It's Fine

Lily Donaldson Vogue UK 2005
It finally feels like spring! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOO LONG! I like how Adam Young (The voice behind Owl City) greets spring:
Look out the window. Are you looking? Spring is finally upon us. It's getting warmer and warmer by the nano-second. Soon you'll be hitting the beach in your dad's huge flip flops and coconut-print swim trunks, so whip out those frisbees, jump on those bicycles, and break open those bags of chocolate mini-donuts. Please try to do all three at once.
Oh goodness. I think I have a major crush on him. His songs are soooo cute. You can listen to Vanilla Twilight here, and I and my friends favorite, Hot Air Balloon here. Then there's one of my favorite song's The Bird and The Worm (don't let the title throw you off, it's a fantastic song) which you can hear here.
I KNOW that you know this one. haha. *to ten million fireflies, I'm wired 'cause I hate goodbyes*. I love it.
If it's spring that means it must be Easter! Happy Easter! I have this incredibly cute dress that I wore that I still need to show all of you... I also have a certain Prom Dress that you need to see also...

Spring Inspiration
S T U N N I N G
I'll be posting pics over the next few days from this shoot I found from 2008. This shoot was so pretty. I wanted to post them a few at a time so that you could see how pretty they truly are.

...And all this time I have been trying to figure out how to say 'Moschino'...
It's extremely important to understand how to correctly say designer brand names (oh goodness, I'm so bad at this!). I found this list on dulcecandy.com, and I think it's pretty helpful. As a random side note, I am SUPERSUPERSUPER exited for London anad New York fashion week. If you don't know already, every London Fashion week show will be broad casted live online at Londonfashionweek.com, and Marc Jacobs will be doing the same thing on his website Feb. 15th at 8pm. YAY! So I'll need to pop some popcorn, grab my camera and a notebook and drool over Burberry Prorsom! Sounds like a fun week...
Enjoy...

Orangeyness
So I know it's been a really long time. I have tried to put several things but for some reason it didn't work. oops. Anyways, back to FASHION! I love this whole orangey thing this spring, and I started thinking, do I even own any orange at all? here's what I came up with...
Orange makeup brushes
Orange eyeshadow from Clair's.
A button. Just a button..
The Vogue Sewing Book. My grandpa has been an artist all his life and did many photo shoots and illustrations for Butterick back-in-the-day. He also did some for this book, and he gave me a copy. It actually mentions him in the credits.
Orange yarn
My absolute favorite bag in the entire WORLD!
Orange shirt from The Limited.
Coco Rocha snd Lily Cole.
A Pashmina I bought from a different vendor in Time Square for $5.I have had this scince I was 12 and I still love it

Excuse me, I lost my head.
Headless Models in spring 2010 campaigns??? yup. I think it's pretty interesting though. Because you focuos less on the model and more on the clothes. Celine and Prada have already done it for their spring campaigns.
But the prada model has been identified as Rasa Zukauskaite

Viktor And Rolf Spring 2010 show...Lovely!
These dresses are STUNNING! Incredibly creative.
Lady gaga in this months Elle Magazine wearing the same Viktor and Rolf dress.

This one is a bit out there...
I love the 'sawed off' look.
When I was watching the show I felt bad for the model. The bottom part of the dress looked really heavy and very hard to walk in...
Nice dress though. :)
Gotta be one of my faves. look at all the fabric they used! Crazy stuff...
I like how on this one the cut isn't exactly perfectly straight.
Katy Perry wearing the same dress at the MTV Europe awards.
HOLES??? Brilliant.
If you get the chance, watch the show and look at the back of this dress. It's entirely RUFFLES!

If I had a million dollars...
So as I have said in other posts I am in serious need of a nice dress and I only have less then two weeks until the dance. HELP ME! I have just barely started looking at the spring 2010 shows (I'm way behind, I know). So I felt out of the loop. This morning I went and watched 9 or 10. Good. I feel better now :). Some of my favorites were Dior, Celine and Lanvin. As I was watching I was thinking about what I would wear. Here are some things I would absolutely LOVE to wear if I had a slightly bigger budget (okay allot bigger...)
Lanvin
I love this! The ruffles are perfect and so pretty.
Lanvin

The texture on this dress looks AMAZING. Almost quilted.

Looooots of orange this spring, which can look quite nice or totally disastrous. This is deff an orange DO. It will be kinda cool to see how people try to incorporate orange into outfits this spring.
These next three are my favorite.
Chanel Fall 2009
This is actually a wedding dress, but isn't it pretty?
